About the Role

As a Driver / Operator of company vehicles, you will provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages, ensuring shipments conform to FedEx features of service. You will also perform related customer service functions and other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up packages efficiently and courteously.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards.
• Provide related customer service functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED.
• Valid license for the type of vehicle assigned.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment and/or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Neat appearance, as customer contact is required.
• Must meet qualifications outlined in Section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
• Pass a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with officials, and respond to inquiries and directions in accordance with FMCSA enforcement guidance.

Pay

$23.21/hr.

Schedule

Part-Time: Monday-Friday, 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm.

Location

Nashville, TN. Employees will work at the FedEx location five days a week.
