Part-time position operating company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages.
Responsibilities
- Deliver and pick up packages.
- Check shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service.
- Provide related customer service functions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Schedule
- Tuesday through Friday: 08:50–12:05
- Saturday: 08:20–15:20
- Must work Saturdays.
- Required to complete 3 full-time days (8:00–17:00) for driving skills class and Courier class.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle assigned.
- Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSA).
- Medical exam required in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations (non-covered safety-sensitive position).
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs; ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
- Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
- Neat appearance (customer contact required).
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to inquiries.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a courier or in a DOT-regulated driving role.
