Courier/DOT-1

Driver / operator of company vehicles. Provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and provides related customer service functions. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Deliver and pick up packages courteously and efficiently
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features
• Provide customer service related to shipments
• Perform other assigned duties

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license for the type of vehicle assigned
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Ability to maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Neat appearance (customer contact required)
• Must meet qualifications outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier safety regulations
• Must pass a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
• At least 21 years of age
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to inquiries

Preferred Qualifications

• Driver’s license held for three years with no gaps or suspensions
• 1-2 years of delivery or courier experience

Pay

Starting pay range: $22.11 - $32.29 per hour. Actual starting pay determined by experience, market level, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
