About the role
The Northeast Health District is seeking a dedicated and experienced County Nurse Manager to lead the Jackson County Health Department. This position provides leadership and oversight for clinical operations, public health programs, staff, and administrative functions while ensuring the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered public health services.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership, supervision, and support to professional clinical and administrative staff.
- Plan, implement, manage, and evaluate public health programs and clinical services.
- Monitor program performance, staffing, budgets, and fiscal processes to ensure efficient operations.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, clinical standards, and organizational policies.
- Promote quality assurance and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with healthcare providers, community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders to strengthen public health initiatives.
- Assess community health needs and collaborate with leadership to develop strategies that improve health outcomes.
- Participate in emergency preparedness and public health response activities as needed.
- Foster a positive, collaborative work environment that supports employee development and exceptional customer service.
Requirements
- A minimum of an associate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university and three (3) years of nursing experience.
- Completion of a PHN course within one year of hire.
- Certified Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license from Georgia.
- CPR certification.

Monday, 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.; Tuesday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
