About the role
The County of Washington Behavioral Health & Developmental Services Department seeks a Mental Health Program Specialist 2 to manage complex mental health cases and coordinate with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals with complex needs by guiding service planning and crisis response
- Work with providers, courts, hospitals, and county partners to resolve issues and improve care
- Review information, analyze outcomes, and prepare reports that track service delivery
- Monitor programs, assist with licensing reviews, and help ensure quality standards are met
- Engage specialty populations and help organize trainings that strengthen community knowledge
- Assess urgent situations and verify that proper steps are taken to protect participant welfare
Requirements
- One year as a County Mental Health Program Specialist 1
- Three years of professional level experience in the field of mental health
- A bachelor's degree
- PA residency requirement

- Legal Requirements: Background investigation, medical examination, drug screening, and criminal history report submission
