Responsibilities

  • Family Meetings: Meet with families regularly in various settings to understand needs and guide progress
  • Service Coordination: Work with service providers to support family goals related to safety and self-sufficiency
  • Case Documentation: Complete data entry and maintain accurate case records for agency use and court testimony
  • Crisis Response: Provide crisis intervention during urgent situations and participate in scheduled on-call rotations
  • Policy Compliance: Follow all DHS regulations and agency procedures related to client services

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm with a 1-hour lunch. On-call rotations are required. This position does not offer telework.

Requirements

  • Two years of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college-level coursework which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
  • A bachelor’s degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in the above fields and one year of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 or in a similar paraprofessional case-management role.

Applicants within two months of completing the required degree or credits will be considered. A valid driver’s license (not under suspension) is required. You must pass a background investigation, including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance. This position is subject to the Child Protective Services Law.
