About the role
The Counter Sales Person assists customers during the sales/purchase process and responds to inquiries professionally.
Responsibilities
- Maintain product knowledge and awareness.
- Market products and suggest replacements/alternatives.
- Work in a safe and constantly aware manner.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- One year experience in the electrical industry or relevant product knowledge.
- Strong mathematical abilities.
- Basic computer skills.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
- Teamwork and customer service orientation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Keyboard, monitor, and telephone usage.
- Bend, climb, push, pull, including maneuvering at heights and in tight spaces.
- Routine lifting and carrying of work-related materials up to 70 lbs., occasionally up to 70 lbs.
