About the role
The Counter Sales Person assists customers during the sales/purchase process and responds to inquiries professionally.
Responsibilities
- Maintain product knowledge and promote all products sold.
- Suggest replacement/alternative products when appropriate.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- One year experience in the electrical industry and/or knowledge of electrical products required.
- Strong mathematical ability.
- Basic computer skills.
- Clear and concise communication skills.
- Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
- Teamwork and customer service orientation.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- Keyboarding, computer monitor, and telephone use.
- Bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, including maneuvering at heights and in tight/small places.
- Routine lifting/carrying of work-related materials up to 70 lbs., occasionally up to 70 lbs.
