Counter Sales Person

About the role

The Counter Sales Person assists customers during the sales/purchase process and responds to inquiries professionally.

Responsibilities

• Maintain product knowledge and promote all products sold.
• Suggest replacement/alternative products when necessary.
• Work in a safety-sensitive position, maintaining constant awareness and safe behavior.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• One year experience in the electrical industry or relevant product knowledge required.
• Strong mathematical abilities.
• Basic computer skills.
• Clear and concise communication skills.
• Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
• Teamwork and strong customer service orientation.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
• Use of a computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone.
• Bend, climb, push, and pull, including maneuvering at heights and in tight spaces.
• Routine lifting and carrying of work-related materials up to 70 lbs., occasionally exceeding this weight.
