About the role

The Counter Sales Person assists customers during the sales/purchase process and responds to inquiries professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain product knowledge and promote all products sold.
  • Suggest replacement/alternative products as needed.
  • Work in a safety-sensitive position requiring constant awareness and safe behavior.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • One year experience in the electrical industry or knowledge of electrical products required.
  • Strong mathematical ability.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel).
  • Clear communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • Teamwork and strong customer service orientation.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Use a computer keyboard, monitor, and telephone.
  • Bend, climb, push, and pull, including handling up to 70 lbs. and occasionally more.
