Counter Attendant - Riverside Burger & Biergarten

About the Role

The Grab and Go Attendant is responsible for accepting payment for food and beverages, making proper change, and maintaining the Grab and Go area, including light cleaning, restocking, and general upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Be attentive, friendly, helpful, and courteous to all guests, managers, and fellow employees.
• Comply with hotel standards and regulations to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Operate the P.O.S system, collect payments, and make correct change.
• Prepare cashier reports at the end of each shift and pay out servers’ and service attendants’ tips, if applicable.
• Greet and seat guests, perform opening and closing duties, and assist in providing a pleasant dining experience.
• Take reservations, answer the phone, and assist with room service orders.
• Support servers and hosts by delivering and refilling beverages, pre-bussing tables, and resolving guest requests.
• Ensure quality control of menus, pre-bus tables, and maintain cleanliness of work areas and tables.
• Break down trays of soiled dishes and linen, and answer the telephone according to standards.
• Receive and deliver food and beverage orders, collect payment, and ensure overall guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and/or related experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
• Attentive, friendly, courteous, and service-oriented demeanor.
• Ability to handle problems, anticipate needs, and maintain confidentiality.
• Flexibility to work long hours and maintain a professional appearance.
• Physical ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and stand during entire shift.
