About The Role
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Counselor to join our Women’s Trauma Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP). This daytime program supports adult women navigating trauma-related mental health challenges, providing a structured and supportive environment for healing and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate group therapy sessions in a trauma-focused IOP setting using evidence-based approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, CPT)
- Provide individual counseling sessions as clinically indicated
- Conduct intake assessments and determine appropriate levels of care (approximately 4–6 per week)
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
- Participate in daily team meetings to review client progress and coordinate care
- Complete insurance authorizations and maintain timely, accurate clinical documentation
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and supportive therapeutic environment
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field (required)
- Completion of a clinical internship or practicum (required)
- Experience with trauma-informed care and women’s mental health (preferred)
- Strong group facilitation skills and ability to engage clients in a structured setting
- Trauma-specific training or certification is a plus
