Counselor Technician - Full Time - Days

Responsibilities

• Makes client safety rounds, monitoring and documenting ADLs and coaching clients on life skills, communication skills, community integration, etc.
• Facilitates structured activities with clients aligned with their goals and treatment plans.
• Maintains the cleanliness of the program space.
• Safeguards Protected Health Information (PHI) and maintains confidentiality, including providing written documentation, scanning/uploading records into the EMR system, and managing requests for and releases of client information or medical records.

Requirements

• FT schedule (40 hours per week) from Monday to Friday, 7A-3:30P.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• A valid Missouri Class E automobile operator’s license (or equivalent).
• Carry appropriate insurance on the vehicle being driven.
• Working knowledge of mental illness and substance use disorders preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel, and email management.
