Counselor - School Age Child Care (Richmond City Program Locations)

About the role

The YMCA of Greater Richmond seeks enthusiastic role models to join their team in the Richmond City Region. Positions are available at Cardinal Elementary, Fox Elementary, Francis Elementary, Holton Elementary, Mary Munford Elementary, the Northside Family YMCA, and Redd Elementary. Hours are from 2:00pm to 6:15pm, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

- Create fun, engaging activities that foster growth and development. - Support youth development through structured play, learning, and leadership. - Supervise and inspire a group of school-age children. - Serve as a trusted mentor and daily highlight in a child’s life.

Requirements

- A positive attitude and passion for working with kids. - Reliability, creativity, and abundant energy. - Must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED. - Six months of experience is required, but enthusiasm is the most important factor.
