About the role
The Antioch Unified School District (AUSD) seeks a dedicated and experienced School Counselor to join our team. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive counseling services to students, families, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling services to students and their families
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement individualized student plans
- Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide programs addressing social, emotional, and academic needs
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to inform decision-making and support student growth
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required by law and district policy
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
Requirements
- A Master’s degree in School Counseling from an accredited institution
- A current Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
- Valid California teaching credential
- Experience working with diverse student populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- At least three years of successful counseling experience
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations governing school counseling
- Experience with data analysis and reporting

- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

Pay
The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with a standard school year schedule.
