About the role

The Antioch Unified School District (AUSD) seeks a dedicated and experienced School Counselor to join our team. This position is responsible for providing comprehensive counseling services to students, families, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students and their families
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other school personnel to develop and implement student support programs
• Assess student needs and develop individualized plans to address those needs
• Maintain accurate records and reports as required by law and district policy
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge
• Engage in community outreach and partnerships to promote student success

Requirements

• A Master's degree in School Counseling from an accredited institution
• A current Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Counseling issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
• Valid California teaching credential
• At least three years of successful counseling experience
• Experience working with diverse student populations
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

• Knowledge of child development and psychology
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule
