Counselor (OBOT)

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular individual and group counseling sessions
• Aid patients in developing and updating treatment plans in compliance with state guidelines
• Complete intake and readmission services, including early-stage support until a primary counselor is assigned
• Provide crisis intervention and backup support for other counselors’ patients as needed
• Make appropriate referrals and coordinate care with other providers
• Support patients post-discharge with follow-up for at least 30 days
• Maintain clear, complete, and organized patient records
• Document all patient contact and ensure all services provided by the care team are recorded
• Submit records for periodic supervisory review
• Provide required documentation for insurance, legal, and other third-party reporting
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting agencies
• Attend and participate in weekly treatment team meetings
• Train and support peers when needed
• Aid in implementing new programs and services
• Notify the Program Director of issues with caseload or scheduling

Requirements

• Adherence to program policies, schedules, and all relevant federal, state, and accreditation regulations
• License or certification to practice as a Counselor

Qualifications

• Experience in substance abuse counseling
• Knowledge of treatment planning and documentation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in computer software for patient record keeping and documentation

Pay

$27.00-$30.00 per hour + Bonus Structure
