About the role
Responsible for providing leadership and support to counselors for all clinical services for the program as outlined by facility standards and in accordance with the clinical philosophy of the program.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates group therapy, including preparation of materials, through research and construction of curriculum as needed.
- Carries a limited caseload as deemed necessary.
- Communicates with referral sources and company representatives regularly to strengthen relationships and address concerns or problems.
- Works closely to coordinate care with internal treatment providers regarding evaluation of client needs and/or medication management as appropriate.
- Manages client files by conducting scheduled audits to ensure proper documentation is present and all licensing regulations are met.
- Facilitates and attends weekly treatment team meetings.
- Assists with staff and program scheduling as needed.
- Conducts insurance reviews and assessments as needed.
- Supports the intake process for new clients into the program as applicable.
- Participates in on-call duties for the facility to assist line staff with client behavioral and emotional needs as applicable.
- Oversees Family Programming including but not limited to the facilitation of psycho-educational programming as deemed appropriate.
- Provides recommendations and assists in coordination of aftercare planning for clients.
- Assists Clinical Supervisor/Clinical Director with clerical duties and any other duties as assigned.
- Exercises discretion and maintains confidentiality with regard to all company information.
- Completes all required trainings as designated by the company and accreditation/licensing entities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provides training and day-to-day guidance to the clinical assessment team.
Requirements
Licensure, Education, & Experience
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling with a Master’s level licensure: Marriage and family therapy, social work, professional counseling, or certification by a state-wide certification board (CAADC).
- Master’s Degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling and are working towards a Master’s level licensure (Marriage and family therapy, social work, professional counseling), or certification by a state-wide certification board (CAADC).
- Bachelor’s level with a CADC or are working towards a CADC with a minimum of one year of qualifying clinical experience.
- Associate’s level with a CAAC or working towards a CAAC with a minimum of two years of qualifying clinical experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent with a CAAC.
- Current licensure in this Commonwealth as a registered nurse and a degree from an accredited school of nursing and one year of qualifying clinical experience.

- Ability to problem solve by gathering and analyzing information.
- Ability to handle a crisis and/or potential risk situation and react appropriately.
- A working knowledge of federal and state standards as well as regulating body and compliance standards.
Physical Demands
- Frequently required to talk or hear.
- Regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
- Occasionally required to climb stairs, stand, walk, stoop, twist, kneel, or crouch.
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Must seldom lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Noise level in the work environment is usually moderately quiet and indoors.
- Position will be scheduled based on operational need and will require providing own transportation.
- May be exposed to virus, disease, and/or infection from clients in the work environment.
- May be exposed to traumatic situations (e.g., psychiatric).
Pay
