Lead Counselor

About the role

Alpine Springs Addiction Treatment is a drug and alcohol treatment center located in Linesville, PA, offering clinically managed residential and withdrawal management/detox services. The facility is open 24/7 and seeks candidates who are empathetic, passionate, and skilled in providing chemical dependency clinical services.

Responsibilities

• Document a complete assessment, individual treatment plan, progress notes, transition plan, and discharge summary for each client according to Alpine Springs Linesville, LLC policies and procedures, and the PA Department of Health Drug & Alcohol Licensing laws and regulations.
• Assist Clinical Supervisor with Counseling department.
• Provide individual and group counseling services to clients.
• Provide chemical dependency family counseling services to clients and family members.
• Ensure client confidentiality at all times.
• Participate in the implementation and maintenance of the DDAP standards.
• Train and develop both current and new counselors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing, or other related fields.
• One year of full-time work experience (or 4,000 part-time hours) delivering substance abuse treatment services.
• At least one to two years’ supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of clinical documentation; progress notes, Biopsychosocial, D/C summary, Continuing Care Plan, etc.
• Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records.
• Knowledge of DDAP regulations, Carelon and CCВН.
• Knowledge of utilization reviews.
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred but will train).
• Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite or related software).
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent multi-tasking, listening, writing, attention to detail and organization skills.
• Must be flexible (facility is 24/7).
