Counselor Intern

About the role

A Practicum or Internship student is needed to assist in performing psychosocial assessments on new admissions. The student will observe and assist in facilitating Group Therapy sessions, conduct individual and family counseling sessions, and present lectures to patients and their families. They will also participate in a treatment team with other professional staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist in performing psychosocial assessments on new admissions

• Maintain appropriate documentation and reports
• Communicate effectively with patients' families, referents, and other professionals
• Maintain professional standards regarding practice, conduct, continuing education, appearance, and relationships with patients and other professionals

Requirements

Must be actively enrolled in a practicum or internship course for a Bachelor's or Master's program.
