Role Overview The Counselor provides outpatient services for individuals with alcohol or drug issues, offering both individual and group counseling. Key Responsibilities Deliver professional counseling to patients and their families, including education about addiction, signs, and symptoms.Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and document care in patient records.Support patients seeking sobriety and assist in identifying community resources for ongoing recovery.Participate in community outreach, lectures, and marketing activities to promote addiction recovery services.Educate family members about addiction and their role in the recovery process.Refer patients to specialists when necessary and support educational initiatives within the program. Qualifications & Skills Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC) certification from IAODAPCA.Associate’s Degree in a related field.Experience in chemical dependency treatment counseling.Strong communication, assessment, and educational skills. This role aims to support individuals on their path to recovery through comprehensive counseling, education, and community engagement.
