Counselor - CARC

Role Overview: The Counselor provides outpatient services for individuals with alcohol or drug issues, focusing on assessment, treatment, education, and community outreach. Key Responsibilities Deliver individual and group counseling sessions to patients and families.Conduct educational lectures and participate in outreach activities.Perform assessments, develop care plans, and document progress in patient records.Support patients seeking to achieve abstinence and teach about addiction, its signs, and symptoms.Identify resources and facilitate referrals for ongoing recovery support.Educate family members about addiction and their role in recovery.Contribute to program marketing and community engagement. Qualifications & Skills Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (CADC) certification from IAODAPCA.Associate’s Degree in a related field.Experience in chemical dependency treatment counseling.Strong communication, educational, and referral skills.
