COUNSELOR – Bi-lingual

About the role

JBWS is a private, nonprofit agency dedicated to providing support and solutions for individuals facing intimate partner abuse. Our mission is to create a community-wide culture that refuses to tolerate intimate partner violence and to advocate for social reform.

Responsibilities

• Individual, family, and/or group counseling
• Dase management and advocacy
• Conduct intakes and assessments
• Complete documentation as required by the program needs
• Work collaboratively and flexibly with clients and team members

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related field
• LSW or LAC, required
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience providing counseling services, preferably with trauma survivors
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish speaking, reading and writing
• A MUST: Understanding of the impact of domestic violence and trauma on adults and children
• Ability to effectively and independently make decisions based on sound judgment
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Candidates with 40-hour domestic violence training preferred, but candidates without training must complete 40-hours upon hire

Pay

Salary range between $55,000 and $60,000 annually, includes medical, dental, life, LTD, state disability and a comprehensive wellness program.

Schedule

Full time – 35 hours per week with two evenings required.
