COUNSELOR

Puyallup Online Academy is seeking a School Counselor to join their growing team. This position is ideal for someone who believes relationships are the foundation of student success and is passionate about supporting students in an innovative online learning environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with students and families through regular communication.
• Maintain academic progress, attendance, graduation requirements, and student engagement.
• Develop academic plans, complete credit reviews, and support High School and Beyond Plans.
• Guide students through college, career, apprenticeship, military, and workforce planning.
• Collaborate with staff to coordinate interventions and connect students and families with school and community resources.
• Support enrollment, scheduling, orientation, and student transitions.
• Collaborate as part of the Innovative and Flexible Programs student support team.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be able to obtain a certificate with OSPI, including the appropriate endorsement.
