About the role

The Dimock Center is a federally qualified community health center dedicated to healing and uplifting individuals, families, and communities. Our Behavioral Health Services provide residential and outpatient treatment for those dealing with mental illness, developmental disabilities, or substance use disorders. Askia Academy is a specialized 16-bed, level 3.1 RRS with COE capabilities, offering a structured environment for recovery.

Responsibilities

  • Provide brief supportive therapy and facilitate psychoeducational groups under the guidance of the Clinical Director.
  • Counsel patients individually, in family meetings, and in group sessions to support progress toward treatment goals.
  • Collaborate with the case manager to make referrals and linkages to appropriate levels of care.
  • Perform crisis prevention, intervention, and risk assessments, escalating to the appropriate parties when necessary.
  • Complete required documentation in accordance with agency and DPH/BSAS guidelines.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings and trainings as assigned.
  • Participate in individual clinical supervision and accumulate hours toward licensure, if applicable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work or a closely related field required.
  • One year experience working in a substance use disorder treatment setting preferred but not required.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills required (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Valid drivers license and ability to drive a company vehicle required.

Qualifications

  • Licensure as an Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC, LADC II), Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC) or Certified Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor (CADAC) preferred.
  • Masters in Social Work preferred.
  • LCSW or LICSW preferred.
  • Spanish language capability preferred.

Benefits

Commensurate with experience, education, and licensure.

Pay

$26/hr to $31/hr.

Schedule

Monday to Friday from 11am to 7pm.
