Counsel - Litigation (San Diego)

About the role

This role can be located in San Diego, Torrance, or Downtown Los Angeles. As an AmLaw60 law firm, this will offer a unique opportunity to candidates who want to be part of a dynamic team in a growing location.

Responsibilities

• Practice in the areas of complex litigation, products liability defense including knowledge of the Song-Beverly Act, pharmaceuticals and medical devices, and class action litigation.
• Try numerous jury trials to verdicts in various jurisdictions as well as in state and federal court in California.
• Draft and prepare pleadings and discovery, prepare for, take, and defend depositions, manage document production, argue discovery and other motions, and adept at case management.
• Broaden your legal skills by working with a team of more than 1000 attorneys, policy advisors, e-discovery professionals, and other business professionals.

Requirements

• At least 8+ years of meaningful litigation experience in complex litigation, class action, and products liability.
• Able to draft and prepare pleadings and discovery, prepare for, take, and defend depositions, manage document production, argue discovery and other motions, and adept at case management.
• A first-rate communicator who possesses outstanding written and oral advocacy skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent academic credentials.
• Admitted and in good standing with the California Bar.

Pay

San Diego, California pay range for this role, with final offer amount depending on experience is $225,000 - $275,000.
