About the role
The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch, Legal Services Unit is seeking a qualified attorney to provide expert advice and recommendations on a wide variety of legal and policy issues; represent the Branch in court and before administrative agencies; and draft and review complex contracts, inter-agency agreements, policies, legislative proposals, and various other legal documents.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal advice and recommendations to the Judicial Branch on diverse legal and policy matters.
- Represent the Branch in court proceedings and before administrative agencies.
- Draft and review complex legal documents, including contracts, inter-agency agreements, policies, and legislative proposals.
Requirements
- Membership in the Connecticut Bar.
- Two years of experience in the practice of law.
Pay
Salary range: $94,656 – $172,793 per year. New employees begin at the minimum. The starting salary for existing state employees may be higher, in accordance with Judicial Branch policy.
