Cottage Maintenance Technician - Guest Services

Duties

• Affords assistance with general maintenance, repairs and service of utilities
• Executes minor repairs and maintenance of buildings and cottages
• Executes minor electrical work, as required
• Executes general plumbing work such as unstopping drains, repairing faucets, soldering and brazing
• Reviews all work products to ensure highest level of quality
• Ensures tools, equipment and machines are kept clean and in safe operating order
• Fulfills all procedures for safe and efficient operation of tools, equipment and machines
• Adheres to all federal, state and company safety guidelines
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with members, employees, guests, contractors, and vendors
• Responds to after hour calls in regards to maintenance/HVAC of short and long-term property, possibly having to return to Reynolds Lake Oconee to assist guests/renters with problems

Qualifications

• General knowledge in all trades-electrical, plumbing, heating, carpentry and painting
• Minimum of 3 years experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, sketches, and drawings
• Valid GA driver’s license with a good record
• Able to bend, stretch, stoop, and lift a maximum of 100 lbs
• Able to withstand various weather conditions
• Skills of diplomacy and tact while dealing with members, employees, guests, contactors, and vendors
• Basic computer skills in MS Office and the ability to learn new software systems
