The sports and entertainment portfolio at COTA is unmatched in the country with Formula 1 US Grand Prix, NASCAR, and MotoGP attracting global fans during championship races on the famed Circuit. COTALAND is an amusement park with over 30 attractions and experiences, including first-of-their-kind roller coasters.

The Steward / Dishwasher at COTALAND plays a vital role in supporting our Food & Beverage operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment. This position ensures sanitation standards are met so our culinary teams can deliver an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced theme park setting.

Responsibilities

• Clean, sanitize, and properly store all dishes, utensils, glassware, cookware, and kitchen equipment
• Operate commercial dishwashing machines and manual ware washing equipment safely and efficiently
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness of all back-of-house areas including kitchens, prep areas, walk-ins, storage rooms, floors, walls, and drains
• Remove trash, recycling, and compost throughout shifts to maintain a safe work environment
• Assist culinary teams with basic support tasks as needed
• Support daily opening, operating, and closing procedures
• Follow all health department regulations, food safety guidelines, and COTALAND policies
• Maintain awareness of safety in a high-energy, high-guest-volume environment
• Communicate any equipment issues, supply shortages, or safety concerns to leadership
• Ability to follow instructions and work well with others

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Obtain a Texas food handler’s certification
• Previous kitchen, stewarding, or sanitation experience is preferred, but not required; training is provided

Physical Demands & Work Environment

• Ability to stand, sit, use hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• Ability to squat, bend, twist, push/pull
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision
• Work in extreme environments indoors/outdoors throughout the year
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events

Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour + tips

Schedule

This position is based on-site at COTALAND Theme Park at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas. Crew Members should be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, weekends, holidays, rehearsals, special events, and seasonal peak operating periods.
