About the Role
The Bartender at COTALAND plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe and organized bar environment. We're looking for skilled and personable bartenders to join our team and help create memorable experiences for our guests. This position ensures sanitation standards are met so our Food & Beverage teams can deliver an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced theme park setting.
Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, and properly store all bar tools and glassware
- Maintain cleanliness of all back-of-house areas including service wells, prep areas, walk-ins, storage rooms, floors, walls, and drains
- Assist in removal of trash, recycling, and compost throughout shifts to maintain a safe work environment
- Support daily opening, operating, and closing procedures
- Follow all health department regulations, food safety guidelines, TABC guidelines and COTALAND policies
- Maintain awareness of safety in a high-energy, high-guest-volume environment
- Communicate any equipment issues, supply shortages, or safety concerns to leadership
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and customer preferences
- Provide friendly, attentive service and engage with guests in a professional manner
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked bar area
- Check customer identification and ensure compliance with all alcohol service laws
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service during busy shifts
- Monitor guest behavior and promote a safe, enjoyable environment
Qualifications
- Previous high volume bartending experience is preferred, but not required, training is provided
- Basic understanding of wine, beer and spirits
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older
- TABC certification

Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Ability to stand, sit, use hands to handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms

- Ability to stand/walk for long periods
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision
- Work in extreme environments outdoors throughout the year
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud during events
