Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT)
• Absorb and assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and rehabilitation goals
• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions
• Accurately document patient progress and treatment outcomes in the EMR system
• Collaborate with therapy, nursing, and interdisciplinary teams
• Help patients improve independence, strength, and overall quality of life

Qualifications

• COTA - Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant: Current New York State COTA license required
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or long-term care preferred
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Passion for working with geriatric / elderly populations
