Job Title: Cost / Schedule / Controls Engineer / Specialist III Duration: 12 months (expected extension 2028) Schedule: 5/40 Location: Kentucky or Baton Rouge (On-site) This opportunity sits within a refinery and chemical complex environment, supporting the stand-up of a synthetic graphite facility through detailed project controls, planning and schedule review activity. The role focuses on cost estimating, project planning, scheduling, change control and progress stewardship across FEED, commissioning and start-up phases. This position offers the chance to contribute to high-value project delivery by identifying schedule vulnerabilities, supporting reporting activity and strengthening project controls performance. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering within a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experienceSignificant project controls experience, including planning, scheduling and cost control within complex project environmentsExperience across brownfield and turnaround projectsBackground supporting schedule integration from FEED through commissioning and start-upPrevious experience in a closely related positionExperience coordinating progress reporting and supporting regulated and non-regulated accounting reporting requirementsAdvanced proficiency in cost estimating, project planning and project controlsStrong Primavera P6 proficiencyHigh-level schedule summary development and schedule analytics capabilityStrong resource-loaded schedule evaluation skillsStrong progress measurement and progress stewardship capability, including Strategic Key MilestonesAbility to maintain change control and cost reporting processesStrong knowledge of AWP processesAbility to review start-up schedules and identify vulnerabilitiesStrong influencing, consulting, mentoring, analytical and computing skillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to organise, plan, control, coordinate and manage cross-functional activities effectivelyAdaptability to changing priorities and ability to broker successful solutions across internal coordination groups Preferred Qualifications Owner and EPC experienceBachelor’s degree in I&E Engineering or Mechanical Engineering About Airswift Airswift is an international workforce solutions provider within the energy, process and infrastructure industries.
