Cost Estimator in Manufacturing

About the role

V-Tron Electronics Corporation is seeking a Cost Estimator to join their team in Attleboro, MA. The Cost Estimator plays a crucial role in the Quoting department by establishing material costs based on customer parameters, building standard parts lists in the company's database, and developing standard routings.

Responsibilities

• Establish material costs to prescribe customer parameters by soliciting bids from suppliers.
• Build standard parts list in V-Tron Electronics parts list database.
• Document costs in parts master database.
• Develop standard routings by identifying required operations on customer blueprints in the most efficient way possible.

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of assembly, supervisory, or management experience in manufacturing of wire harnesses/cable assembly operations.

Skills

• Working knowledge of Windows-based software including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
• In-depth understanding of output of process equipment and techniques related to wire harness and cable assembly manufacturing.
• Strong negotiating and communication skills with external suppliers.
• Excellent organizational and precise data documentation abilities.
• In-depth understanding of assembly techniques associated with cable and wire harness assembly.
