Job Title: Cost Estimator
About the role
Under general supervision, prepares cost quotes for manufactured product in the LaFox facility.
Responsibilities
- Follows prescribed methods and procedures in developing tool costs for the final quote preparation.
- Prepares cost analysis using quote template to calculate material, labor, subcontracting.
- Reviews documents and data to ensure understanding of scope of work of all quotes.
- Collections and assembles all estimated costs that are associated with each project.
- Obtains pricing for materials and bids from subcontractors.
- Reviews quotes and revisions for completeness and accuracy.
- Basic understating of manufacturing processes and product flow in a job shop type environment.
- Prepare information and enter into ERP system; this includes calculating raw material usages based on various units of measures, analyzing labor time including audit of work as needed to ensure data accuracy.
- Coincide with Procurement to assure that flow of materials and accuracy of costs are up to date.
- Process product revision and version changes using the ECR/ECO system.
- Submit Cost Quotes to Product Management as directed by Manager.
- Be responsible for projects as directed by the Quoting Manager or Vice President of Manufacturing.
Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent education and 2+ years of experience.
- Experience/strong knowledge of supply chain concepts, MRP systems and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, Excel, Word, Visio, Project.
- Possess strong organizational and analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize and handle multiple duties/projects at one time.
- Hold excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Pay Range
$28-$30 per hour plus incentive
