Cost Controller Engineer

What You’ll Do

• Affirm compliance with the project plan
• Assist with earned value progress measurement
• Assist in monitoring project cost estimates, expenditures, forecasts, and trend analysis
• Afford maintenance of the accuracy of cost data and detection of deficiencies within cost system, providing direction for corrective action
• Attend and participate in meetings
• Interact with a variety of individual across the organization in regard to project cost analysis
• Afford assistance with managing changes in project scope, identifying potential crisis issues, and developing contingency plans that account for company contractual requirements
• Coordinate with the site team to ensure the accuracy of progress data
• Afford help to the Project Controls Manager in preparing the cost report, MPSR report, and manage changes in Procore

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in cost control, finance, accounting, project coordination, or a related field preferred (2+ years ideal, but we welcome applicants with relevant transferable experience)
• Education Bachelor’s degree preferred (Related experience may be considered in place of a degree)
• Skills Basic understanding of financial or budgeting concepts, Ability to manage deadlines and work with project teams, Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, Effective written and verbal communication, Willingness to collaborate in a team environment, Technology Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and general office software, Ability to learn new software tools quickly (Experience with Bluebeam or Procore is a plus, not required)
