Cost Control Analyst

Responsibilities

• Perform all journal entries to close the books.
• Perform Account Reconciliations.
• Prepare and Analyze Monthly Income Statement for each product line.
• Review COGS for accuracy.
• Review Financials upon completion in TM1.
• Prepare and maintain product standard costs.
• Update Labor and Overhead rates on yearly basis; monitor monthly and quarterly changes.
• Prepare, Analyze, and Publish monthly gross profit Report.
• Control Inventory - valuation and movements in terms of value (gross and net) and units.
• Responsible for Inventory Transactions and Reporting.
• Reconcile Inventory monthly.
• Assure application of division's obsolescence policy and identify problem areas.
• Reconcile Precious Metal Usage and Reclaim.
• Generate and Review Monthly Cycle Counts.
• Assure reporting of financial performance and manufacturing statistics.
• Provide analysis of variances with written comments.
• Participating in establishment and follow up of capital requests.
• Monitor cost reduction projects in the plant.
• Assist in preparation of Strategic Plans, annual budget, and quarterly forecasts.
• Present Monthly Financials to Management.
• Present Gross Profit Report for Management.
• Prepare Other Special Finance Reports as requested.
• Metal Impact Analysis.
• Direct Labor Study.
• Product Innovation Part Cost Analysis as requested.
• Other Ad hoc analysis as requested.

Requirements

• BS in Accounting or Business Management.
• 5-10+ years related experience in cost analyst role in manufacturing environment.
• Solid analytical and communication skills.
• Proficient utilizing Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
