About the role
The Cost and Financial Analyst will be responsible for costing and pricing activities as well as various forms of programmatic and operations support. This position will incorporate estimates from Functional Groups into costing and pricing templates, prepare cost positions for bids and negotiations, provide analyses on manufacturing data, and support program management's tracking of the financial health of their programs. Additionally, the Cost and Financial Analyst will provide the appropriate financial reporting and analysis to both Internal and External Customers.
Primary / Key Responsibilities
- Pricing lead on customer RFPs/RFQs, in both FAR regulated and competitive environment for new products, existing products, assemblies, spare parts, and repairs.
- Interfaces with various members of the proposal team (Business Development, Operations, Engineering, Quality, etc.) regarding all elements of quotes and supporting logic.
- Maintains historical database of quotes.
- Aid Program Management on a daily basis with programmatic financials.
- Responsible for reporting and analyzing program financial data and business unit financial data to support weekly, monthly and annual reviews.
- Gather, validate, and analyze sales and cost-of-sales data to evaluate business performance (e.g., gross margin compared to budgeted and forecasted expectations).
- Prepare monthly cost type billings for invoice to customers.
- Maintain Program Master List.

- Bring initiatives and activities to closure in a timely manner through effective interaction with individuals, both internal and external to the Marotta organization (as required).

Basic Qualifications
- 2 to 4 years of relative experience.
- B.S. Finance, Accounting, or other technical discipline.
- Experience working on government contracts in following capacities, and not limited to the following:
- Contracts Management
- Pricing / Proposals
- Business Mgt.
- Customer negotiations
- Performing Program Financial Metrics such as EAC’s, ETC, as well as EVMS (CPI / SPI)
- Experience in supporting audits (Internal / External (Customer, DCMA/DCAA))
Preferred Qualifications
- Superior Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of ERP systems.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills required for multi-faceted interactions with all levels of personnel within the organization, as well as any and all outside agents/agencies.
- Highly computer literate, with MS Office/PC expertise, and demonstrated experience with applicable systems, programs, equipment, etc.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple assignments simultaneously within a short period of time.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Pay Range
$80,000 - $90,000 per year
