Cost Accounting Director

Job Responsibilities

• Medicare and Medicaid Reimbursement – Overall accountability for the preparation and filing of the Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
  • Establish internal controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of the filings.
  • Implement and maintain a process for responding to auditors and managing audits of the cost reports by regulatory agencies.
• 340b Registration and Compliance – in partnership with the AVP of Pharmacy, support compliance requirements of the 340b drug discount program through management of child site eligibility and annual registration procedures with HRSA.
  • Assist in responses to auditors as required.
• Cost Accounting System Management – maintain the cost accounting system for the Medical Center in collaboration with the information services team.
  • Ensure costing data loaded is complete and accurate.
  • There are internal controls to ensure reporting is valid.
  • Assist in analytics of clinical operations costing for new clinical initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
• PREFERRED: 7+ years preparing Medicare/Medicaid cost reports
