Cost Accounting Director
Job Responsibilities
- Medicare and Medicaid Reimbursement – Overall accountability for the preparation and filing of the Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
- Establish internal controls to ensure accuracy and completeness of the filings.
- Implement and maintain a process for responding to auditors and managing audits of the cost reports by regulatory agencies.
- 340b Registration and Compliance – in partnership with the AVP of Pharmacy, support compliance requirements of the 340b drug discount program through management of child site eligibility and annual registration procedures with HRSA.
- Assist in responses to auditors as required.
- Cost Accounting System Management – maintain the cost accounting system for the Medical Center in collaboration with the information services team.
- Ensure costing data loaded is complete and accurate.
- There are internal controls to ensure reporting is valid.
- Assist in analytics of clinical operations costing for new clinical initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- 7+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
- PREFERRED: 7+ years preparing Medicare/Medicaid cost reports
