About the role
The Cost Accounting Director is responsible for overseeing all cost accounting activities within the organization. This includes preparing and analyzing financial reports, ensuring compliance with governmental regulations, and providing financial analysis to support decision-making processes.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Oversee the implementation and maintenance of cost accounting systems.
- Provide financial analysis to support strategic planning and budgeting processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex financial issues.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local accounting standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in cost accounting, preferably in healthcare settings.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
