Cost Accounting & Decision Support Analyst

About the role

The Cost Accounting & Decision Support Analyst supports the organizations enterprise cost accounting function within the Decision Support & Cost Analytics team, with primary responsibility for maintaining and enhancing the Strata cost accounting system and supporting integration with EPIC and other operational data sources.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, records and reports on the direct and indirect expenses of patient care, services, and operations within hospitals, clinics, and insurance providers;
• Develop cost models, perform variance analysis (budget vs. actual), and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction to support financial performance;
• Works closely with Finance, Reimbursement, Decision Support, and operational leaders to support cost modeling, allocation methodologies, and healthcare-specific analytics across a complex health system environment.

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Business or related field required;
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare cost accounting or decision support or financial analytics required;
• Strat experience preferred, EPIC reporting (HB/PB) preferred;
• N/A certification;
• N/A license;
• Advanced Excel and analytical skills required;
• Understanding of healthcare concepts;
• Ability to interpret financial data and identify trends;
• Strong attention to detail.

Pay

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate: $30.32 - $39.42 / hour
