Cost Accountant - Canton

About the role

Fresh Mark, Inc. is seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team at our Canton facility. This position supports daily operations within the accounting/finance department and handles various tasks including general ledger journal entries, account reconciliation, product costing, monthly bank reconciliations, interfacing with external auditors during annual audits, and supporting the month-end close process.

Responsibilities

• Supports daily operations within the accounting/finance department
• Handles general ledger journal entries and account reconciliation
• Conducts product costing
• Performs monthly bank reconciliations
• Interacts with external auditors during annual audits
• Provides support during the month-end close process
• Performs other duties as required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university
• Proficiency with spreadsheets and databases (Excel strongly preferred)
• Necessary computer skills
• Sound planning and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize objectives and duties
• Strong written and verbal communications skills
• 2-3 years of accounting experience preferred
