Cost Accountant
Job Summary
The Cost Accountant is responsible for maintaining detailed standard costs in the Company's ERP system while providing COGS Variance analysis, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing and support various projects related to inventory and cost.
Essential Functions
- Create monthly costs entries for General Ledger closings and reconciliations.
- Prepare account analysis reports pertaining to cost and inventory including postings, balancing, and reconciliation to the General Ledger and subsidiary accounts.
- Run WO/MO weekly, research variance and fix if needed.
- Run weekly PPV, Yield, Rework, Floor stock, scrap, revalue std, INV Adj and analyze variances.
- Month-End: Reconcile INV Batch, INV in transit (BTP JE), download and prepare WIP Accrual JE and INV usage tax JE.
- Download, analyze INV receipts report and prepare Material OH Reclass.
- Variance Scrap Reclass and Expire items scrap reclass to E&O.
- Maintain inventory tracking, inventory control and direct labor cost and absorption analysis.
Required/Preferred Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Accounting, Finance or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in Accounting or Finance including 2-3 years in a manufacturing environment with Standard Cost experience required.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple tasks simultaneously and manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent follow-through and meticulous eye for detail.
- Strong team player willing to share responsibility to accomplish goals.
- Computer skills, including Excel, are required.
- Great Plains/Dynamics preferred, but not required.

Annual Salary
$81,900.00 to $122,800.00
Factors which may affect starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
