About the Role
As an Accountant, you will analyze financial information and prepare journal entries to record assets, liabilities, profit/loss transactions, and other financial activities for the organization. This is not a remote position; candidates must be willing to work in a hybrid manner.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in assigned accounting and month-end closing processes under US GAAP
- Perform accounting activities as assigned
- Prepare month-end journal entries for closing, general ledger account analysis, and balance sheet account reconciliations in Blackline
- Collaborate with Site Personnel and BSC regarding fixed asset issues and other accounting activities within your area of responsibility
- Assist with the resolution of issues that could impact the timely month-end closing process and communicate promptly with the Accounting Supervisor
- Familiarize yourself with and follow all corporate accounting policies within your area of responsibility
- Adhere to all SOX procedures
- Complete quarterly reports as assigned, including Site Analytics
- Perform other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- BS or BA degree in a relevant field
Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders
- Confident user of MS Office, particularly strong Excel skills
- Basic knowledge and experience using ERP systems; SAP knowledge is helpful
- Keen to build positive relationships
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail
- Flexibility and ability to drive process improvements as needed
