Play a strategic role in budgeting, forecasting, inventory management, and operational decision-making. Partner closely with operations to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements. Participate in capital project analysis and ROI evaluations that support company growth initiatives. Key Responsibilities For The Cost Accountant Develop, maintain, and analyze standard costs, product costing, and manufacturing variances. Support inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, and inventory control initiatives. Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for plant operations. Partner with plant management to provide financial analysis, operational insights, and process improvement recommendations. Support audits, management reporting, and special projects as needed. Qualifications For The Cost Accountant Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related business field. Background in Cost Accounting or Accounting. Minimum 5+ years of accounting experience.
