Cost Accountant

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze existing cost tables and costing methodologies within the ERP system.
• Review and evaluate manufacturing cost structures, overhead allocations, and standard costing processes.
• Update, modify, and upload costing data while maintaining data integrity.
• Test and validate cost changes to ensure accurate reporting and system functionality.
• Investigate and resolve costing discrepancies through detailed root cause analysis.
• Support the development, maintenance, and refinement of standard costs.
• Review complex material and product costing structures, including multi-level bill of materials and production inputs.
• Partner closely with Accounting and IT teams throughout project execution.
• Document system updates, testing results, and project progress for leadership review.
• Assist with ERP costing enhancements and process improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.
• Manufacturing cost accounting experience required.
• Strong knowledge of standard costing, product costing, overhead allocation, cost analysis, and variance analysis.
• Amtech Imaginera experience required.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, data analysis).
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred, especially packaging, paper, corrugated, or folding carton.
• ERP implementation, upgrade, or costing project experience a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a project-based environment.
