Cost Accountant

Responsibilities

• Support the Operations Finance Manager as a backup and key partner
• Assist with month-end close, inventory valuation, and roll-forward analysis
• Maintain inventory relief processes for subcomponents and finished goods
• Conduct quarterly physical inventories and cycle counts, resolving discrepancies
• Establish and update standard costs for manufactured products
• Analyze cost accounting data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Develop cost structures across labor, overhead, and operational processes
• Provide strategic recommendations to improve cost efficiency and profitability
• Stay current on industry trends, tools, and best practices
• Assist with special projects and ad hoc financial analysis

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of cost accounting experience
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Office Suite
• Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
• Solid understanding of GAAP and cost accounting principles
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and support decision-making
