Job Responsibilities
- Manage cost accounting activities, including inventory valuation, product costing, and financial analysis.
- Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules related to inventory, fixed assets, and operating costs.
- Review and analyze cost variances to identify trends and improve financial accuracy.
- Support audit activities, compliance initiatives, and reporting requirements through preparation of documentation and schedules.
- Monitor capital expenditures, asset activity, and other cost related transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of cost accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting, cost analysis, and financial reporting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze and interpret financial data.
- Authorization to work in the United States in accordance with applicable regulations.
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in medium to large organizations with complex accounting operations.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and fixed asset management software.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of accounting standards, internal controls, and audit support processes.
