Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and analyze product costing and manufacturing cost data.
- Monitor and analyze material, labor, and overhead costs to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Prepare and review cost reports, inventory valuations, and variance analyses.
- Absorb and review month-end and year-end closing processes related to inventory and cost accounting.
- Reconcile inventory accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, purchasing, and operations teams to understand manufacturing processes and cost drivers.
- Participate in physical inventory counts and cycle count programs.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
- Affirm accuracy of Bills of Materials (BOMs), routings, and cost standards.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and inventory accounting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/MRP systems.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
