About the role
Responsible for managing cost accounts and ensuring accurate financial reporting for projects within General Atomics and affiliated companies. This includes preparing cost estimates, tracking project expenses, and providing financial analysis to support decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and manage cost accounts for assigned projects.
- Track project expenses and reconcile invoices to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct regular financial analysis to provide insights and support project management decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial goals and objectives.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in cost accounting or financial management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Qualifications
- CPA certification preferred but not required.
- Experience with project management tools such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge of industry-specific accounting standards and regulations.
