Cosmetology or Esthetics Teacher - Substitute
About the role
As a Substitute Teacher, you will have the unique opportunity to inspire students in the absence of their regular instructor. You'll deliver engaging lessons and practical demonstrations, ensuring students continue their educational journey seamlessly during temporary gaps in staffing.
Responsibilities
- Implement lesson plans effectively, adapting to the needs of students
- Offer practical demonstrations and hands-on learning experiences
- Provide ongoing assessment and feedback to enhance student performance
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment promoting creativity
- Maintain classroom management and ensure the safety of all students
- Collaborate with other educators to support overall instructional goals
Requirements
- Must possess a valid Cosmetology or Esthetics License in the State of Indiana
- Must have an active Beauty of Culture Educator License in the State of Indiana
- Taught or trained in the beauty industry is preferred
- Strong knowledge of cosmetology techniques and theory
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Passion for education and mentorship of aspiring beauty students
Qualifications

Pay
The expected salary range for this position is between $20.00 and $24.00/hr. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; geographic location; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility.
